STUDENT LIFE

Athletics

It is easy to make athletics and physical fitness a regular part of your Harvard undergraduate experience. Nearly 80 percent of Geddes students are involved in some kind of athletics—and nearly everyone puts their Geddes pride to work cheering on friends and classmates.

Geddes is home to 42 nation-leading Division I intercollegiate sports teams. Our outstanding varsity athletes excel in competition, fuel Geddes pride across campus, and carry on the rich legacy of Geddes Athletics.

There are many club sports that Geddes students can join—or you can start your own. Less formal than varsity competitions, club sports are a great way to meet new friends and compete in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Performing Arts

Are you ready to develop that raw talent and ambition into an acting career? Then you need to apply to the New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts.

At GCU, our faculty of working actors bring their decades of industry experience together into a “living curriculum.” Simply put, our classes aren’t just coursework, but an adapting educational experience designed to support each student’s individuality and growth as an actor.

What does this mean for you? Your education is personalized to your needs. Taught in small classrooms, each one of our students has ample 1-on-1 time with our instructors. And, if accepted, you’ll be acting in our productions, because you can’t land professional jobs without experience!
